Pure Michigan

Don't you just love those Pure Michgan ads. I find myself listening to every word and wanting to know which town he is talking about. Do you know the voice that does the ads is the voice of Tim Allen? Listen closely. Last week I heard one about Saulte Sainte Marie that made me get a hitch in my throat as that is where Peyton has started laying down roots.
I do love Michigan.

A year it has been

Well, here it is. A year almost to the day since I started this blog.
I love to write and journal, but it seems I find myself at my computer more than with a pen and paper., Pity. So, I will have to journal from here. One of my favorite people who I used to bounce things off of moved to Florida last month. Sometimes you don't really know what you have got till it's gone, you know. One of my other favorite people who used to sew with me all the time now travels a lot with her husband and I miss her. She is gone like for a month at a time.
But now that I only have one child left at home, I seem to have more time for things, just lack the motivation. We are fickle people aren't we?

Summer is here

Summer is here and Bekahs wedding is in July. Working on Bridesmaid gowns, veil, clutch purses, and other various sewing projects for the wedding. It is going to be so unique and that is exciting.
Working at the Rescue Mission in Holland as a Gift processor and not as much time to devote to sewing. I am enjoying the work though and the people I work with. I do get sewing in when I can and appreciate it more than ever.

I am thrilled to do this. I love to teach people my favorite hobby.
I sure am tired of the snow right now. Sewing helps for sure.
